Patapon 3 has a new superhero and expanded multiplayer to sing about

Almighty Kami, you’re not going to be sitting there drumming while your loyal underlings do all the work. You’ll be represented by a new Patapon super hero in Patapon 3 to lead your Fevered charge into battle. And to keep the Patapon Fever burning, Sony has expanded the game’s ad-hoc function for a bigger multiplayer game.

Almighty Kami, you’re not going to be sitting there drumming while your loyal underlings do all the work. You’ll be represented by a new Patapon super hero in Patapon 3 to lead your Fevered charge into battle. And to keep the Patapon Fever burning, Sony has expanded the game’s ad-hoc function for a bigger multiplayer game.

 

 

The super Patapon hero has the option of selecting one of three weapons at the start of the game – the short-ranged sword, the mid-range spear, and the back row stinging bow. Despite being your incarnation in battle, the super hero still also has to respond to the beat of the drums just like everyone else.

 

In addition, Sony has expanded multiplayer ad-hoc for up to eight players – this way, you can opt for up to 4-on-4 team battles, or play cooperatively in quests. For your communication convenience, Sony also introduced Pata-Text, which allows networked players to chat with each other.

 

Patapon 3 will be released in Fall later this year.
