Just like with what happened during Rock Band‘s launch last year, complaints about failing peripheral controllers are piling over Guitar Hero: World Tour. Activision‘s latest rhythm-fest was released just last weekend, and already, numerous users have reported guitars and drums not working as they should.

Via Shacknews, we hear that the majority of the complaints were about the drum set supposedly not being receptive enough that it wouldn’t register every thwack from the sticks. The guitar peripheral was also reported to not register any strums after a couple of hours’ use.

Oh, and just in case you were asking, the complaints encompass peripherals for all platforms of World Tour, namely the Xbox 360, PS2, PlayStation 3, and Wii. Better check up on your instruments and place a call to customer service. We’ve yet to hear anything official from Activision (let’s hope they replace the instruments, just like Harmonix did for Rock Band last year), so we’ll keep you guys updated when we get word.
