Play.com: Pre-ordered PS3s will be delivered on launch day

It’s just a couple of days from today before the whole of Europe gets its hands on PlayStation 3 (PS3) units. We know that Sony is hell-bent on assuring fans that the supply issues which plagued North America will not happen again. But despite that, some would still like to play it safe and placed their pre-orders on their various preferred retail stores.

Now, to those of you who placed theirs at online retail store Play.com, you might want to know that the company is assuring its customers that all demands will be met. In fact, Play.com just confirmed that the PS3 units are being packed for delivery on launch day, March 23.

Play.com Head of Games Gian Luzio has a few things to say about the supply and delivery of PS3 units.

We are delighted to confirm that Play.com has the PS3s in our warehouse and over the next few days, we will be processing the overwhelming numbers of pre-orders we have taken. We guarantee that every customer that orders a PS3 from Play will receive their console on launch day.

Consumers who placed their pre-orders on Play.com will also be getting three launch titles namely MotorStorm, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Genji: Days of the Blade. The whole package is being sold for 524.99 GBP or around US$ 1,029.92. It will be delivered to their doorsteps free of charge.
