PlayStation 3 gets homebrew Game Boy emulator, but it’s in BD-J
Too bad this didn’t arrive before FW 2.50. From PS3 homebrew developer Mario comes a new Game Boy Emulator for the Sony console. Hopefully someone will figure out how to get around the BD-J homebrew block so the PS3 community can enjoy this properly.

Too bad this didn’t arrive before FW 2.50. From PS3 homebrew developer Mario comes a new Game Boy Emulator for the Sony console.

Note that this emu may be a bit slow, and sounds may not work that well either. Huge thanks to Atr1 for providing an English translation of the readme. Here are the instructions for installing the emulator (assuming you haven’t updated to 2.50):
- Download the emulator (see link below)
- Place the AVCHD on an USB drive (use FAT32)
- Place the drive in the USB port of the PS3
- Select the drive and start the AVCHD folder from VIDEO
- Choose a game.
The triangle button is used to select through 0-9. The download already includes several roms to get you started.
