PlayStation 3 Rumor Puzzle Solved

Lots of rumors have been going on lately about the PlayStation 3 model differences; the $499 and $599 models. They’re mostly suggesting the cheaper (less expensive) PlayStation 3 version will not have Bluetooth (wireless) controller support and the option to upgrade your hard drive. But here’s evidence it will actually support the aforementioned features. Read on.

Both rumors from Games Radar (and other websites) can easily be cleared up. The first one, which states a Sony employee at E3 said the raw model won’t have an option to upgrade the drive from 20GB to 60GB can simply be solved with an image. Above is an official picture of the console’s back, where you can obviously see a removeable bay (click image to expand). This should mean you can put in a different HDD.

The other rumor suggests that the $499 model will not support wireless controllers. However, a press release sent directly from Sony has the following text in a model comparison chart: Wireless controller (Bluetooth)“. If you’ve found other evidence, post it below!
