Welcome to one of the cities in Project Gotham 4, Quebec City. Home to 12 racing circuits in-game, Quebec’s stark feature is its beautiful yet formidable cold weather, which Bizarre Creations used to take advantage of with Project Gotham Racing 4‘s icy weather condition. There will be 9 initial tracks available in Quebec City, with three other tracks unlockable in Career Mode for the short and endurance races. The short and endurance tracks are sold in packs, and can be bought with kudos earned.

Check out the Quebec City circuits in store for gamers in Project Gotham Racing 4:

  • Chateau Frontenac
  • Twisted Old Port

  • Fountain Square
  • Parliament Hill

The courses run for about one square mile in size, and are laid out around the center of the the city. Many landmarks can be found in game, such as the famed hotel Chateau Frontenac, as well as Quebec’s city gates. Racers can also experience roaring through the city gate’s arches, in high speed.

So, why Quebec City? Derek Chapman, Lead City Artist in Bizarre Creations explained:

The design team wanted a real mix of styles and architecture between the locations. They also wanted some flat circuits and some that were very hilly. Quebec fit the bill perfectly: The style of the city and its architecture is unlike the other cities we have in the game and the roads themselves are unbelievably steep in some places.

Other landmarks and famous locales racers can expect to see while driving are Cote de la Montagne, Parc des Champs de Bataille, the Parliament buildings, and the Naval Reserve Headquarters by the harbor area.

Since the creation of the Quebec City tracks required research, Chapman stayed in the cold city for about more than 15 days and took snapshots in the cold. The hard work is all worth it, though, and we have these magnificent in-game images of the city to back it up. It’s a good thing that the developers disproved the news that they are constrained by any storage media limit, and are able to pack in all the eye candy that magnificently cold Quebec City has to offer.
