Pronto Games Jumps On The Wii Bandwagon
Pronto Games joins the ever growing list of third party developers that plan to work with the Wii. They havenÂ’t mentioned any details as to what type of game they plan to make for the Wii. Make sure to check out their demo to see their previous work, and also some very Star Wars-like character design for what looks to be a game in progress.
Another one adds to the ever growing list of developers to support the Wii — Pronto Games. While Pronto Games is not that that well-known, and so far have only developed games for handhelds and the PC platform (Rescue Heroes, Nicktoons Racing, and a Batman game). However, given their history, it would be interesting to see what they could come up with for a console.
The said third-party developer has put up a job posting indicating that they’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to assist them in developing a Wii Game Engine. Pronto hasn’t mentioned any details about the type of game they’re planning to develop for the Wii, but from their demo, we get a very quick glimpse of what looks like a game in development.
The theme? Star Wars-like with a Darth Vader type of character holding a type of dual-blade lightsaber and a hero holding a lightsaber. We can speculate to our hearts’ content but we’re still not sure whether this will be the game for the Wii. But if it is (!)…aaah, we can only imagine the lightsaber fun we’ll have with the Wiimote.
