PS3 firmware 1.92 had no effect in Europe, says Eurogamer
A few days back, firmware 1.92 for the PlayStation 3 went about its rounds to all the regions. You probably read through the engrish from the Japanese changelog (courtesy of online translators) and the changelog from PlayStation US. Well, another report has come to our attention. Though this time, it comes from Europe.
According to Eurogamer, they have received confirmation that the recent PS3 update “had no effect” to European PS3s. Basically, the latest firmware update was aimed to fix certain issues with compatibility and stability of US and Japanese games. The Sony Europe rep they spoke with said, “All the changes in the firmware update were for the US and Japan, and actually had no effect for us in Europe.”
Anyway, don’t feel down. We assume that you still needed to download 1.92 to move on to higher PS3 firmwares. For now, you’ll just have to sit and wait.
