PS3 to be launched at UAE
Gamers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be happy to hear that the Playstation 3 will already be released in their area this March 22. Now, PS3 fans won’t have to use shady ways of obtaining their favorite console.
A PS3 unit in UAE will cost the equivalent of US$ 680. An expected 1 million units of Sony‘s next-gen console will be made available during the initial launch period across the Middle East. The 60GB model will be available at launch.
Sony says that it’s happy to launch the PS3 at UAE, following the huge success of the console in Japan and North America. Sony believes that the PS3 will be well met at the UAE. The demand for the console was reported to be huge, so much that some retailers even resorted to dealing with unauthorized distribution channels.
There is even a promo to be enjoyed by the UAE PS3 fans upon purchasing the console and registering at the Playstation Network. They will be given a free Blu-ray disc movie of the latest James Bond title Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig. Isn’t that a sweet deal?
