PSN on-demand videos not too pricey

This key part of the PS3 online strategy will be high-end, but definitely not high-priced as the cost per pop runs at the equivalent of less than two dollars.

PSN logo - Image 1Japanese high-definition viewing enthusiasts with Sony PlayStation 3s will get an early holiday season treat from the PlayStation Network. Sony is on the verge of putting up an on-demand video service for the PSN and it’s looking pretty affordable.

Each download from this added service will cost around the equivalent of US$ 1.85 in Japan. To drum up support for this service to come, Sony will allow PS3 owners with hard drives to download the documentary The GT-R Legend Inside Story I. This is the first of a three-part feature that highlights how the Nissan developed its champion racer with hard work and ingenuity.

Sony promises more content in the months to come along with the addition of pics to enrich the PSN experience. This affordable HD video download service is certainly a welcome addition to Sony’s PS3 online strategy.
