PSN US April 17 update: Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Warhawk DLC

Logo of Sony's PlayStation Network - Image 1With the updates for the PlayStation Store getting an early start this week, Senior Manager Grace Chen polished off and completed the list with the arrival of one of the most anticipated downloadable titles for the PlayStation 3 with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (as if some of you guys needed reminding). Several other notable DLC made it on the list, making this week’s update one of the more significant ones in a while. In case some of you guys glossed over the other updates available this week, you can check out the complete list in our full article.

We’ve already seen a partial list of goodies Sony has offered for this week on the PlayStation Store. Grace Chen, Senior Manager of the PlayStation Store, recently gave out the rest of the details of the weekly update, which included one of the most anticipated downloadable titles on the PlayStation 3 with Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.’s (SCEI) Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

The downloadable (and BRD-available) precursor to Gran Turismo 5 features over 60 cars from the world’s leading car manufacturers as well as several high speed tracks for your racing pleasure. The game came in at a hefty 1.78 GB, so make sure you have enough space on your console’s hard disk before trying to purchase it off the PlayStation Store.

In addition, PlayStation Portable users can take a look at the two video trailers tied into the game by downloading them off the PC Store. You can grab the Friendly Fires video as well as the Beyond the Apex trailer and get yourselves stoked before playing the actual game on the console.
