A couple of days ago, reports of some PSP games messing with files in the ms0:/seplugins and ms0:/iso folders came to light.

In response, homebrew developer Torch released CFW Folder Blocker, a plugin that hides the aforementioned folders in GAME mode so they couldn’t be accessed. Here’s what it does according to Torch:

When anything tries to list the contents of the memory stick, it removes these folders from the output, so they cannot enumerate the folders. It also causes any attempt to directly open the folders or directly access files in those folders to fail.

The original release of CFW Folder Blocker also blocked GAME folder apps, limiting the usage of some homebrew apps. This version doesn’t activate in homebrew anymore, so if you had problems with the first release you should upgrade to this one.

So far, it looks like DJ Max Fever and Dissidia: Final Fantasy are the only identified culprits. Says Torch, Dissidia reportedly deletes cwcheat and pspstate, while DJ Max Fever refuses to launch if it finds any file that has “iso” in its name in the seplugins folder.
