Puyo Pop Fever for the PSP – New Screens
Ignition entertainment have acquired the rights to publish Puyo Pop Fever for the PSP in Europe.
The goal of Sega’s Puyo Pop Fever is to match up so-called “Puyos” of the same colour. Matching the Puyos into long chains result in devastating attacks on your opponent, depending on the length of the chains. It’s a highly addictive puzzle game that follows trend of portable puzzle games, such as Lumines, which sold over 150,000 copies within 1 month in Europe. Puzzle games feel at home on a portable console, which is why i think this game will be a big hit when it is released, just as Lumines was.
Puyo Pop Fever for the PSP features:
- A training mode to learn advanced features, including voice over navigation (Exclusive to PSP version)
- 13 new characters
- A simultaneous multiplayer mode
The title, which is also being developed for the Nintendo DS, is scheduled for release at the end of this month.
