Ragnarok Online heads for DS
A Nintendo DS version of the popular Korean MMORPG Ragnarok Online has finally been confirmed. This news comes more than a year after we last heard of rumblings about the possibility of a DS outing for the game.
According to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, GungHo Online Entertainment will be developing the Nintendo DS version of Gravity’s Ragnarok Online. The game is currently scheduled for release next year.
Details are still scarce at the moment, but it would be very interesting to see how GungHo plans to incorporate Ragnarok Online‘s huge game world and lore into a DS title. Will it be a full-on MMO or will it be similar to the .hack games?
When you really think about it, there is also the distant possibility of it being based on the anime, which in turn was based on the MMO. More about this title when details surface.
