RaidHealer: a WoW mod for healers and buff casters
The Mod Squad was a late ’60s TV show about a group of demographically-indexed teenagers that fought crime in exchange for not being put in jail themselves. It was also remade into a movie in 1999. And it has absolutely nothing to do with this post. Except for one word.
The word here is “mod,” and that’s what we have for you guys today, a World of Warcraft mod called RaidHealer authored by Styler. This add-on allows healer classes and/or classes that can cast buffs to assign targets. These targets can be assigned by the very simple act of clicking checkboxes. When all the targets have been assigned, the assignments can be announced to a selected channel i.r. /raid.
The player who assigns can also be whispered by another player and will automatically answer with the assignment he made for this player. (/w PriestName heal or /w DruidName buff)
Available options:
/raidhealer or /rh will show the window or hide it when shown.
/rh show
/rh hide
/rh heal – announce heal assignments
/rh buff – announce buff assignments
What’s new in v0.9.4:
- generally only layout optimization.
- using wow-internal class icons, so you may delete the classIcons folder
A minimap button is also available for showing/hiding the window. RaidHealer is still in its beta stage, so check it out. Just click on the download link below to get it.
