Revolution’s Nunchaku Controller Has Built-in Acellometer

Rev's Nunchaku ControllerYep, you read that one right. Rumors about what features the Rev’s nunchaku controller will have endlessly fueled talk among gamers and critics. Now, here’s another (almost true) rumor: the nunchaku controller has a built-in acellometer that will make it possible (for the controller) to sense if it’s being moved up and down, tilted right or left, and moved in other directions too.

These sensing abilities of the controller though, does not allow it to be used like a wand or a pointer for other games that might need such functions. This “leaked” information about the nunchaku controller doesn’t seem “leaked” at all, since most developers were given development kits which included this feature of the nunchaku controller.

The Nintendo Revolution will be in playable form during the Electronic Entertainment Expo that will start May 9, 2006. Hopefully, we get confirmation of this feature of the nunchaku controller.
