We can’t open the week without some speculation, now can we? Today we hear of the latest batch of rumors from UK‘s OPM publication. Though this batch of rumors come from the Official PlayStation Magazine, they do touch on some cross-platform franchises. (EA, I’m looking at you!).

  • Developers are already working on PSP2 games which is tentatively scheduled for released in 2010
  • A PSP version of Motorstorm is in the works and may release this year
  • Square Enix will unveil a ‘Different from FFÂ’ MMO at E3
  • Monolith is already working on F.E.A.R 3
  • Tetsuya Mizuguchi is looking to make a sequel to Rez
  • EA is holding an auction in which NFL players can bid to be on the front cover of Madden 2010
  • Lego Harry Potter is on the way

I for one know that the Mizuguchi rumor is confirmed. Supposedly, the Rez sequel is called QJ. And then there’s that bit about MotorStorm PSP – already leaked during the Sony staff meeting in London. And of course, there’s Lego Potter, which Traveller’s Tales has neither confirmed nor denied yet.

Now about that PSP 2… Well, a previous rumor said a PSP-4000 was supposed to roll out this year, with the PSP 2 following “later.” That’s, of course, until John Koller himself stepped in and said these rumors were unfounded. Whatever the case, the rumor here doesn’t concern itself about the release date, but as it suggests, developers are apparently already making games for it – whenever it’s coming out.
