LazyGamer contacted the Epic Games Community Support shortly after news spread through Kombo.com that Mark Rein had in fact confirmed the said dedicated servers for Gears of War 3. The reply of Epic Games was short and succinct:
“Mark Rein was misquoted. We have not announced dedicated servers.”
So there you have it. Unless of course they just intended for this piece of news to be released for much later.
