According to the report, Sony is cleaning inventory on the 80 GB model PS3’s in the weeks ahead gearing up for its final plan in 2009 to finally drop the price of the hardware and launch the rumored PS3 slim this fall.
On the Microsoft side, the Xbox 360 Pro will be replaced sometime in July or August by the current Xbox 360 Elite model following a September price cut and making the Elite the new Pro-level system.
