For those of you wishing to have an online co-op mode for God of War III, sorry folks, the news is all false. Over the weekend, we reported about the possible inclusion of an online co-op component for the upcoming game which was supposed to be hinted by the God of War III module from the official Sony retail site.

But thankfully, the Examiner got hold of Eric Levine, Sony’s Product Public Relations Officer, to clear the rumor. According to Levine’s short and sweet response:
