It’s crunch time for Sacred 2: Fallen Angel publisher cdv Software Entertainment America and developer Ascaron Entertainment. While the game’s Xbox 360 edition has reportedly gone gold, the PlayStation 3 version is apparently still lagging behind.

It doesn’t quite jibe with an announcement from Sacred 2‘s European distributor Deep Silver saying that both versions were already golden, but maybe that’s just the Euro version. Cdv says that the PS3 version will still make it in time for the May 12 simultaneous US release date, though. Europe will be getting the console versions on June 5.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is a fantasy RPG that takes place 2,000 years before the original game. Gamers will be able to explore 22 miles of in-game terrain, tackle over 200 dungeons, and take on over 650 quests. Local split-screen and online coop are supported.
