Sam & Max dev hiring for Wii, but not for Sam & Max

Sam & Max - Image 1Telltale Games, the developers behind the insanely fun Sam & Max franchise, is currently hunting around for a Wii programmer. Now, before you guys commence with the “Sam & Max is coming to the Wii!” shouts, I’m going to start bursting bubbles.

According to Eurogamer, an official post on the Sam & Max forums, there’s still no plans for the franchise to make an appearance on Nintendo’s next-gen console. “We haven’t made any announcements about why we’re hiring a Wii developer and we really really haven’t said that we’re working on a Sam & Max game for the Wii,” the post said.

“If we do [embark on a Sam & Max Wii project], you guys will be the first to hear about it, surrounded by 800 gigantic trumpets and probably some cherubs or something. But as of right now, you’re talking crazy talk.”

Crazy talk, maybe, but we’re still being optimistic. Hey, an optimistic crazy man is better than a pessimistic one, right? If you’re really itching for some Sam & Max action, check out this gameplay vid of The Mole, The Mob, and the Meatball, the third installment in the episodic series.
