Schilling Promotes EverQuest II Charity Event in Good Morning America

SchillingYou have recently read about Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling appearing on EverQuest II from June 5 to 7 as a baddie that players can battle. This bad guy image is part of the “Battle ALS” charity event. Everytime Curt’s in-game avatar is defeated, Sony Online Entertainment is donating $5 (for a maximum of $10,000) to the ALS Association, which aids patients with ALS – also known Lou Gehrig’s Disease, after the popular New York Yankees first baseman Lou Gehrig.

The World Series MVP has recently made an appearance in Good Morning America to promote the charity event. Aside from talking with anchors Diane Sawyer, Charlie Gibson, and Marysol Castro, Schilling was also playing with his son – aptly named Gehrig, 11. Father and son are admittedly big EverQuest II fans.

By the way, EverQuest II players can also donate individually by typing the “/als” command into the game and donating directly to the charity.
