Second Life to get updates

SLAs much as Second Life is closest to reality than any other MMO titles out there, it is still just a game. And as such, it needs to be updated. With that said, please be informed that Linden Lab will begin implementing new changes on December 13, from 7 in the morning until noon. Second Life time. What’s curious is that they “forgot” to release a change log.

Anyway, another good thing about SL is that it allows players to test first the updates on a so-called beta test grid. Here’s how it works: The user information will still be obtained from the main grid. However, all currency, content, land, and other transactions will just be transitory. In short, updates made on the beta test grid will not be applied to the main grid.

Past updates for Second Life involved bug fixes here and there as well as some few alterations or enhancements. The scheduled update will be the last one for this year and residents are quite on a look out for it. There are a lot of areas inside SL that need to be discussed. They’re not problems really, at least not yet.

So, we suggest for you to log in SL right now and proceed to the beta test grid. You can access it via the Read link below. Anyway, you have nothing to lose when you really think about it. Besides, we’re pretty sure you don’t want to get caught unprepared when these changes finally go live.
