Second XNA Game Studio Express beta announced

XNAWe’ve given you a quick and dirty XNA FAQ article already, so we think you guys already know most of the details regarding XNA. We’ll cut the background stuff and just give you the “meat” of this minor news update.

According to Michael Klucher, Program Manager of Microsoft‘s XNA Game Studio, one of the most popular user requests has been for a second beta to be released. This is why he was pleased to announce over at the XNA Team Blog that the XNA Game Studio team will be releasing another beta of XNA Game Studio express in a couple of weeks.

He didn’t give out any details though. He just promised that they’ll be giving out info regarding the update in the next few days. So we will do just that. We’ll keep watch and update you guys accordingly.

An important bit from his blog post that there isn’t too much time between the second beta and the holiday release of XNA, so he says that we should take this second beta as a final release candidate. He urges users to identify critical issues in the product that hamper the XNA Game Studio Express experience.

A sharp commenter was quick to hope for Vista support. Some of us here at QJ are hoping for that too.
