simpleMinimap: A mod for your WoW minimap
Got another World of Warcraft mod for you guys today. Now, we already did the buttons so let’s move on to one of the centerpieces of any UI: the minimap. Unarj’s simpleMinimap mod is, as the name suggests, a module-centric add-on for modifying and personalizing the – you guessed it – minimap. That’s not all it does though. It also comes with a few useful modules like autozoom, coords, GUI, movers, pings, and skins. Here’s a more complete rundown of the available modules:
- Autozoom – automatically zoom-out minimap after delay
- Coords – small frame that shows map coordinates
- GUI – drop-down setup menus (default is right-click on minimap)
- Movers – allows movement of UI frames attached to the minimap
- Pings – popup frame that shows the minimap pinger’s name
- Skins – allows for changing the minimap’s skin (square, corner)
You can choose to disable the modules listed above as well as delete their folders if you don’t want or need those features. Now, aside from the aforementioned modules, simpleMinimap has the following features:
- left-click and drag the minimap anywhere
- hide and move the default minimap buttons
- zoom in and out with the mouse wheel
- adjust the minimap’s scale, outdoor alpha and strata
- bind a key to toggle the minimap
- type ‘/smm’ for a list of commands
