SNES controller hits Japan in January

If you got all excited with the latest sightings of the Nintendo SNES classic controller accessory for the Wii, you might have to settle down a bit because it isn’t likely to land in North American shores anytime soon. The SNES controller is projected to come with a Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack CD and a nice Mario calendar for 2008.

According to Gamebrink, Club Nintendo members in Japan will be the first to grab this peripheral along with some other goodies. The SNES controller is projected to come with a Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack CD and a nice Mario calendar for 2008.

Anyone in Japan can be a Club Nintendo member for a set amount of Wii points spent. There hasn’t been an announcement for North American Wii fans, so that means we’ll have to wait and see.
