SOCOM 3 Map Pack 1 Available by July 12

One of our avid readers, Cree (thank you for the tip!), wrote to us and informed us about an email he received from PlayStation Underground. Apparently, the SOCOM 3 Map Pack is going to be available starting July 12 with a $6 price tag. According to the said email, the map pack will contain SOCOM II HDD levels, After Hours, Liberation, and Last Bastion. Now if you don’t recall, we have reported about this development a few months back.

The map pack has a free trial that will last up to 11:59 PDT, July 11, 2006. After that, if you want to continue using it, you’ll have to shell out $6. And quoting what Cree wrote in his email, “now charging money for it is stupid, but still cool.” How about you? What’s your take on this? Are you willing to pay for that amount just to get the map pack? Or do you think it’s an absurd idea as well? Don’t hesitate to tell us through your comments.
