SOE still thinking about cross-platform support for The Agency

 

Given that Sony Online Entertainment’s The Agency is heading for both the PlayStation 3 and PC, it leaves plenty to be asked on what the agency (SOE) has in store for the game. The biggest question being asked is whether there are plans to make this MMORPG a multi-platform experience, with players from either system (PS3, PC) able to compete against each other in the game’s spy vs. spy- themed world. 

This was the topic of a recent interview between CVG and The Agency lead designer Hal Milton, who stated that the company was not ready to make any comments at time.  “We’re evaluating this [cross-platform support],” Mr. Hamilton further said regarding the game.

We’re hoping the devs do give this serious thought – cross-system connectivity appears is hitting it off lately (at least in Shadowrun‘s case), and just might give SOE that extra clout needed for them to make good their aim to gain global foothold in the industry.
