Space Station Ready for Eclipse

Space Station getting ready for the eclipseWhile the world is getting ready to see the rare eclipse that will be sweeping over the Earth on March 29th, so is the International Space station. This is an unexpected surprise for the 12 members aboard the station since it is only days before a new crew arrives to replace them.

The station has adjusted their position in space to accommodate the arrival of the new crew and this maneuver may have put them in the shadow of the eclipse. The firing of the engines is the first time they have been fired since it was put into orbit six years ago and the first time they have been adjusted in orbit.

It is so rare to pass so near the fast moving shadows of the solar eclipses so I hope everyone on the space station brought there cameras because they are going to have one heck of a view
