Square Enix holds Final Fantasy anniversary party in San Francisco

In commemoration of Final Fantasy’s 20th anniversary, Square Enix North America held one of the biggest Final Fantasy events ever to hit Western shores: the Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary Celebration (big surprise with the name there).

Held last night in San Francisco’s PlayStation Store, attendees were able to experience PSP’s remake of Final Fantasy II (to be shipped on July 24) firsthand, and get themselves a copy of PSP’s Final Fantasy if they haven’t yet.

The first 100 fans were lucky enough to be able to snag exclusive Final Fantasy event goodie bags, and Final Fantasy anniversary shirts were also available for all fans present in the event. We heard that there was a massive line waiting to be let in the store. Too bad for the people who weren’t able to get in after all the trouble they’ve gone through just to get to the event.
