Square Enix interested in Final Fantasy XIII in 3D

Through a Q&A at the official PlayStation page, Yoshinori Kitase noted that they may not have plans at the moment, but they are interested in the idea of having Final Fantasy XIII in 3D.

“Are you considering releasing the game in 3D?” asked a user from Germany.

 

“We don’t know how possible it is to build the game in 3D but we are interested in it,” the game producer replied. “In fact, we have already created a 3D Final Fantasy XIII trailer, which is currently showing in Japanese cinemas alongside the film Avatar.”

 

With the 3D firmware update well underway, a 3D re-release of Final Fantasy XIII might be too soon to think about, especially when they have regular versions of the game to sell internationally this March.
