Stranglehold: New Screens

Stranglehold

New pictures have arrived for Midway‘s upcoming sequel to the cult action film Hard Boiled by John Woo. Stranglehold takes your basic Max Payne gameplay and puts it into a next-gen perspective, adding destructible environments, lots of decals, high-poly character models for total action frenzy. Players control Chow Yun-Fat as Detective Tequila and can execute the same over-the-top slow-motion maneuvers that have inspired endless films and games. Midway wants to provide a truly cinematic experience, blurring the line between Hollywood and games. And from the looks of it, they’re more than succeeding so far.

Stranglehold will dive into your living room in Winter 2006, for both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
