There’s a new interview up on IGN with Goichi Suda, otherwise known as Suda 51, developer of Killer 7 and the upcoming No More Heroes game for the Wii. While there’s a touch of personal history interspersed in these questions for the game, he does manage to mention some new tidbits about it, including the game system and a game No More Heroes wishes to top, at least in one category.

He mentions that the game system will be somewhat more free roaming than their previous assassin-filled outing, Killer 7. All of it takes place in the fictional town of Santa Destroy, and features two types of missions that’ll help you strengthen your character and pick up cash. As the interview mentions:

Story missions (Killer ranking rounds) and submissions (money earnings) are scattered throughout the map. The game progresses after players choose missions. No More Heroes is a genuine action [sic] where players control main character, Travis, but it hardly uses the wireless remote controller, which is one of the characteristics of Wii. The basic tactic is to attack with A button. The finishing move/attack is made by using the motion of the Wii controller.

Even more startling is his admission that this game certainly isn’t meant for kids. When asked about whether or not fans should be excited for their new game, he comes up with a resounding affirmative, mentioning one important tidbit: he intends for the game to be as violent, if not more so than the now-infamous Manhunt 2. The question is: are you prepared for it?
