If your house was robbed, you would, of course, want to get back what is rightfully yours. This is the storyline of AiAi and friends’ adventure in the upcoming adorable Wii game, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz.

Their village treasures were taken so they set out to recover what was stolen from them. Along the way, they face many challenges in the form of different puzzle worlds such as tropical islands, snowy tundras, Egyptian deserts, and even pirate ships. As if those aren’t challenging enough, AiAi and friends have to contend with the villain boss characters at the end of every world in order to move on to the next. Fortunately, there will be two new additions to the gang to help them in their quest to retrieve their village’s treasures.

It sounds like fun, but what about the control mechanics of the game in the Wii?

Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi answers the question via his interview with Gamespot. According to him, they did make considerable adjustments in terms of details to make it easier for the player to play the game more smoothly and naturally. For example, they did much advancements on the precision of sensors, the speed of the characters, and how to jump. The jump mechanic, it’s been said, will add an entirely new dimension to Banana Blitz‘s gameplay.

As for the multiplayer games, there are several aspects the players must unlock in the main game, but Nagoshi chose to keep it  a secret for now. What he did confirm is that the party games are all unlocked from the beginning, to better ensure total Wiimote enjoyment from the beginning of the game.

The cuddly monkey in a bubble, AiAi, and his friends are set to journey to Wii on November 14.
