PS3 gamers over in the EU will finally be getting their own version of Psyonix’s Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, the game with the distinction of having one of the most aptly descriptive names ever.

The release date has been set for next Thursday, January 22, on the EU PlayStation Network. In the meantime, here’s a look at what the EU version, which will be a bit different from the one released in the US.

First off, the download includes both the demo and full versions and can be downloaded for free. The demo will let players compete in full games online, even with people who have purchased the full version. If you don’t feel like pitting your battle-car against another player’s, the demo also comes with several single-player challenges and mini-games.

The demo will only be active for a total of about 90 minutes of actual playing time, though, and once that runs out you won’t be able to play online anymore. The single-player mode will also be very limited.

The full version, meanwhile, can be purchased in-game and from the XMB. Once purchased, all the restrictions will be removed, although the sucky part is that those who have the EU version won’t be able to play against those who have the US version for some reason. At least all of the progress you made on the demo will also carry over to the full version, so there’s that.
