Take you for a ride: Marvel vs. Capcom 2 hinted by mysterious counter
A mysterious counter has appeared online. As of writing, we’ve got around six days left to ask ourselves… what’s it counting down to? If all the clues are in order, it could just so happen to be a counter for some big Marvel vs Capcom 2 reveal. Any of you remember the song playing in the background of the Character Select screen? Hold on to your seats, I wanna take you for a ride… (Tentent, tenenenennt) I wanna take you for a ride… (Tenent tennent tentennt boom boom)
“Alright! Head count! One… Two… Thr — WHOA! OK who pinched my butt?”
A mysterious counter has appeared online. As of writing, we’ve got around six days left to ask ourselves… what’s it counting down to?
Heard via Kotaku, popular opinion holds that this counter (see source link below) is hinting at Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Clues of a PS3 and Xbox 360 incarnation of the classic arcade/PS2/Xbox/Dreamcast game have been surfacing recently, one from an ESRB listing, another from a product listing.
And what does this countdown have to do with MvC2? For one, there’s a huge “2” ghosted on the background. But even slightly more convincing is the name of the website, which is tu4ar.com. It may be a bit of a reach, but some are attributing this as an acronym for the game’s Character Select song, “Take You For a Ride”.
Oh c’mon. I’m sure a lot of you have heard that song – either you love it so much or it’s already driven you insane… Lemme take you for a ride, just for the next three minutes, and refresh your memory with the familiar jazzy tune:
