The LodeRunner is back

Did you know the games Bomberman and LodeRunner are actually connected? For those who do not, here’s a little trivia: the LodeRunner NES version had the first appearance of Bombermen as evil enemy robots. Also, the end screen in the NES version of Bomberman mentions the original White Bomberman having turned human with the LodeRunner behind him.

Amazing, huh? Well, developer Hudson has something more amazing than that – these new screenshots from LodeRunner DS! As of now, there are still no further details regarding the game. We only know that the game itself uses the touch screen with a full-level overview on the top-screen. The new title includes related titles such as Championship Lode Runner.

LodeRunner enters the Japanese market by October 26. Release date for the U.S. market is still to be announced.
