The Weekly Screenie: control points, NPCs, and Bane-parts

This week’s featured screenshot on NCSoft‘s official Tabula Rasa site offers a preview of how the battlefield will look like in the game. It also gives a few more hints as to how gameplay will work.

Screen of the Week - Image 1

The shot shows of a recruit standing in a human base (which also happens to be an armor depot). The recruit is standing next to three things you’ll probably get sick of when you start playing the game.

First off, the big glowy blue structure that’s directly in front of the Recruit is a control point. Since it’s blue that means your faction controls it, and you’re basically in friendly territory. Enemy control points glow red.

Next, small looking fellow in the far left is the informational NPC. If you can’t seem to remember stuff, you can always talk to the guy and he’ll be eager to help. The guy on the far right is the mission giving NPC. No doubt you’ll be talking to him a lot as you progress your character.

Finally, the random body parts the litter the complex are Bane body-parts. They’re there to remind you that just because you’re in a friendly armory doesn’t mean you don’t get to fend off sieges from time to time.
