Tony Blair’s wife and son under fire for being involved in Counter Strike

Counter Strike - Image 1Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair‘s wife, Cherie, and son, Nicky, are now getting raps for being directors of Magnitude Gaming, a firm that manages semi-professional teams looking to make a name in eSports. While it’s well and good that they’re lending their support to a growing industry, the fire is brewing from the fact that Magnitude Gaming has run a team that plays Counter-Strike.

While it’s well and good that they’re lending their support to a growing industry, the fire is brewing from the fact that Magnitude Gaming has handled a team that played Counter-Strike.

Magnitude gaming was founded by Gabriel Moraes in 2007, who was roomies with Nicky Blair in London. Hearing of the issue, Moraes immeditaely issued a statement saying:

Magnitude has never been involved with games containing any kind of street violence. We had one game involving soldiers in military combat but it had a rating of 18-plus and was a team game. We stopped involvement with that game some months ago.
