Top Video Marketplace check-outs for week of March 12

Well, Microsoft‘s turned the Xbox 360 into an Apple TV. Major Nelson reports that “Xbox LIVE has become the number one online distributor of television and feature film content in the living room where it’s most easy for consumers to access.”

Talk about undercutting Apple at the knees. Of course, iTunes is still tops overall (Xbox Live “the number two online distributor of television and feature film content, second to iTunes”), but that counts the PC downloads, too.

Here are the top ten TV and movie downloads for the week starting March 12th – and TV Result #1 should be a no-brainer. “The important thing is to protect my balls.” Surprised to see “Star Trek: Enterprise (HD)” in the list, though. There must be more Trekkies in Live than previously thought – and for that matter, Trekkies who aren’t too peeved off about “Enterprise.”
