Toriyama: Final Fantasy will continue to change

“It [Final Fantasy] will continue to change for each product,” said Motomu Toriyama at GDC. “but the ultimate technology will be pursued and it will remain a magnificent global story centered on human drama. That is why it is well received.”

 

“This will be applied to every Final Fantasy story. I promise we will protect this trend,” he added.

 

Gameplay-wise, the game director also expressed wanting to add interactive cutscenes in series, as opposed to simply watching them. He mentioned it’d be fun jumping off the backs of a thousand flying dragons.
