Ubisoft announces Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms MMOG

Now Ubisoft wants to enter some new territory by ushering in web-based strategy title Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms. Heroes of Might and Magic - Image 1French-based game publishing giant Ubisoft has announced its venture into new territory with an online-based strategy title based on its popular Heroes of Might and Magic franchise. Enter Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms: a strategy title that will please series fans and new users alike.

“This is a new type of game for Ubisoft, one that allows you to jump into a rich and complex universe just with your Web browser,” said Serge Hascoët, Chief Creative Officer. “Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms will open a wide door to the Might and Magic universe, allowing players to immerse themselves within it unlike ever before.”

In this new member of the franchise, players can rule kingdoms and raise armies to go head to head with thousands of other players online. Ubisoft hopes that the thrill of competition will keep strategy fans coming back for more.

Beta testing for Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms is set to go on before its launch in Spring of 2008. The key that lets you into the closed beta is included in the just released collection Heroes of Might and Magic Complete.
