On an earlier update, we reported about how Ubisoft is planning to release a patch that fixes the freezing issues on the Sony PlayStation 3 version of Assassin’s Creed (PS3, Xbox 360, PC).

Now, we get wind of news that not only has Ubisoft followed through with their statement, but it seems that the patch isn’t quite working as planned. As many users are reporting that not only is there still freezing in their games, the other bugs and glitches are still present post-patch application.

This startling bit of news comes directly from the game’s official forums, where posters have been posting their complaints about the patch not being up to snuff in terms of resolving some notorious issues. Some complaints include the  vsync/screen tearing still intact, others mention that Altair still freezes on the blue loading screen.

Of course, the feedback is not entirely negative, as posters also mentioned that the game’s framerate has more or less improved, even though it was still messy. Still, however, it’s a bit surprising that the patch promised to improve the stability of the game isn’t quite doing so well. Let’s hope that everything turns out for the best.
