Vampire’s Rain artwork and wallpaper

Vampire’s Rain, also known as Rain, is set in a suburban city in Los Angeles where blood-thirsty vampires have decided to take residence. Your job basically will be to make sure that these vampires leave the city. Naturally, it won’t be as easy as simply asking them to leave and leading them to an underground cave or a place under a bridge, so you take on a special operative called John Lloyd. The mission? Wipe out the vampires.

The gameplay seems like a no-brainer right? But here’s the clincher: you wouldn’t be able to tell right off whether a person in a crowd is a vampire or not. So you could easily mistake the scrawny teenager who hasn’t come out of his parents’ basement in a looong time, or the gothic pale-skinned girl, for a vampire. This ‘hidden horror’ thing is integrated into Vampire’s Rain‘s new gameplay system, making it more exciting to play.

Artoon’s Naoto Oshima, one of the creative forces behind the Sonic the Hedgehog series, is directly working on this title and he promises that Vampire’s Rain will make vampires scary once again. Additional game features worth looking forward to are the gothic visual design and its next-gen technology, which includes heavily featured weather and effects for a rain-soaked hell on Earth.

Artoon is also reportedly working on integrating network features into this title, including competitive multiplayer. How this will exactly play out, we don’t know yet, but it sure sounds fun. Vampire’s Rain is said to be scheduled for release on December 31st, and since that’s still three long months away, here’s a picture and wallpaper to ease the pain of waiting. Hope it helps.
