Vin Diesel as Agent 47 in Hitman: Blood Money Adaptation

Hitman

After getting word that Vin Diesel is going to be playing Agent 47 in Eidos and IO Interactive‘s stealth-action game Hitman: Blood Money, just for kicks, we racked my brain for another possible actor to play the mighty assassin, but our efforts were in vain.

Diesel will not only star but also executive-produce “Hitman” for 20th Century Fox, while Charles Gordon and Adrian Askarieh will act as producers. But of course everyone – gamers and moviegoers alike – are all anticipating who’s going to write the screenplay. The answer is Skip Woods of Swordfish (the one where Halle Berry bared it all) fame.

According to Latino Review, it stayed true to the game’s original intent of making us in awe of our seemingly invincible anti-hero. Since the website apparently had some previous run-ins with 20th Century Fox, they were very scarce when it came to giving out details about the film. To best describe the script, I’d have to borrow El Mayimbe’s words, “Hitman has balls and the violence is cold and brutal.” The movie is set to be released in 2007.
