Wario: Master Of Disguise details and launch date

Wario: Master of Disguises for the Nintendo DS - Image 1

Wario’s up to his old tricks on the Nintendo DS with Wario: Master Of Disguise. Being published and developed by Nintendo of America Inc, it is set to be released in Europe this June 1.

After watching the exploits of a professional thief named Count Camoli, Wario formulates a plan to steal treasure from TV shows. He dives through the TV screen and steals Count Camoli’s quick-change wand, Goodstyle, and gains the disguise abilities of the master thief. With his new found power, he now searches for an ancient artifact that grants wishes.

With Goodstyle in his possession, Wario can now collect and switch through disguises. Players start the game as Thief Wario, a disguise that can tackle enemies, jump to great heights, and move heavy objects. Additional outfits become available later in the game including: Cosmic Wario (with his laser gun), Artist Wario, (who can create blocks and doorways), and Captain Wario (who can summon a boat to cross water).

A total of seven costumes can be unlocked throughout the game. Changing disguises is facilitated through drawing simple symbols on the Nintendo DS touch screen. The touch screen is also used to activate WarioÂ’s costume power.

Wario’s mission, will take him through multiple locations such as a luxury ocean liner, watery ruins, and even an Egyptian pyramid. The good treasure is locked away in chests and gamers must play mini-games to unlock them. Wario will need all the help he can get because at the end of each stage he’ll have to face off against Count Camoli. Once a stage has been completed, it is possible to revisit it when you have acquired new disguises.

Wario: Master of Disguises is expected to sell for about €40 (about US$ 55). If you’re interested you can check out screenshots of the game from our previous coverage of this game.
