VideoGamesHero is a Guitar Hero homebrew clone from SumiGuchi (coding) and spriteattack (graphics) for the Nintendo DS. Ever wondered what a Guitar Hero game would be like if Video Games Live had their own set of songs to throw into it? Well, this is it!

It’s actually quite professionally done, complete with over 60 songs from a wide range of video games (Ocarina of Time, R-Type, Final Fantasy, Metroid, etc.), 5 game modes, and even support for the Motion Card and Guitar Grip. Check out this video for a bit of a sampling.

Update Pack Changes:

  • bug fixes
  • new sounds (miss/menu)
  • New configuration to DISABLE MOTION to provide compatibility for MK5, Firecard, N-Card, DSLinker
  • New configuration to DISABLE GRIP to provide compatibility with slot 2 motion/rumble packs
  • 2 New Sets = 10 new songs = 75 songs in total!

The “(Full Version)” downloadable archive below already contains the game and the Patch Update 1 – meaning, if it’s your first time to download this homebrew game, all you need is the “(Full Version)” archive, without having to get the “(Patch)”. However, if you have a previous version of the game, you can download the patch separately below too.

Detailed instructions for installation are in the readme.
