Which is the Best Next-Gen Console? Don’t Ask Castlevania Producer

igarashiKoji “Iga” Igarashi who heads the Castlevania development team appears to be caught in the crossfire between the Xbox 360 and the upcoming PS3 and Wii. In an interview, Iga said he wasn’t sure which next-generation console to work with because each has its own disadvantage.

“Actually, IÂ’m confused with all of this next-generation news. I donÂ’t know what to do. I was really leaning toward PS3 in the beginning. But … I was like… maybe itÂ’s too expensive,” he said.

As for the Wii, Iga said it would take a time to come up with good ideas that will fully utilize the unconventional motion-sensitive Wii-mote. Meanwhile, Igarashi has this to say about the Xbox 360, “I’m not really negative over Microsoft, but for some reason they tend to back off a little when it comes to something really foreign..”

It all boils down to these:

1. PS3 is too expensive
2. Wii’s Wiimote is to unconventional
3. Xbox 360 focuses on games that do not appeal to the Japanese

Those of you still undecided on which next-gen console to buy, we hope Iga helped.
