Wii Price: Below 250 Euros

WiiPrice ranges change from continent to continent. Reasons for changes really depend on a lot of factors, such as international tariffs, delivery expenses, etc. So it’s no surprise that it affects game consoles as well.

According to Nintendo’s German Operations Head, they “expect” to price the Wii below 250 euros ($321.50) in Europe. Compare that to Japan‘s less than 25k Yen ($215) and US’ cost at below $250 and Europe‘s price might be a bit high. Add that to Europe’s Wii release date: it’s still up in the air as to when this is. Higher priced and uncertain release dates. Let’s hope Nintendo finalizes its plans for Europe as soon as possible.

However, Nintendo, Europe is confident enough that they will sell 4M units globally by the end of the year and 6M by March 2007. We’re not sure if the price will reach the US, or even Japan, range, but we all hope that it would be reasonably priced enough for our European cousins.
